Attention Parents/ Guardians of New Kindergarteners and or First Graders of the Ringgold School District:
Kindergarten/ first grade registration will take place on March, 11 and 13, 2014. In order for a child to be eligible to register for the 2014-2015 school term, they must be five before September 1, 2014. In regard to those students looking to join the Ringgold School District for first grade, there is an age requirement of six by September 1, 2014. Those students not registered for first grade through the Ringgold School District must contact the school principal and arrange for them to be tested with the present kindergarten class by April 4, 2014. However, parents of children that will not meet the age requirements may request early admission in writing sent to their building principal by July 3, 2014.
What's necessary for registration…?
Birth certificate or some proof of child's date of birth
Proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, tax bill, rental agreement, etc.)
Immunization requirements for first time enterers into public schools in Pennsylvania….
4 doses of diphtheria tetanus pertusis (one being on or after fourth birthday)
3 doses of polio (OPV or IPV)
3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine
2 doses of measles vaccine (preferably MMR)
2 doses varicella (chicken pox) or documentation of history of chicken pox disease
9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Please bring your child with you…in case of a 2 hour delay; registration will only occur in the afternoon.

Attention Parents/Guardians of 8th Grade Students
Students were given a presentation on scheduling today for the 2014-2015 school year. On Thursday, March 13 th there will be an informational meeting for parents regarding scheduling at 6:00 PM followed by an honors/AP forum at 7:30 PM. This meeting will be held in the high school auditorium.
Attention Parents/Guardians of 9-11th Grade Students
Students were given a presentation on scheduling today for the 2014-2015 school year.On March 12 th high school students will have a scheduling day with their classroom teachers.On March 13 th there will be a parent meeting regarding scheduling in the high school auditorium at 6:00 PM followed by an honors/AP forum at 7:30 PM.
Community String Band Program
(open to community)
Begins Monday, January 27, 2014 @ 3:45 RMS.
Lessons on guitar, mountain dulcimer, hamered dulcimer & banjo (mandelin may be added).
BOGO - If a student takes a lesson an adult can take a lesson with them for free.
Tuition - $50 per student a month
